About Darun Nashr. A Lenasia bookshop, and a little more.
Darun Nashr is one of the oldest Islamic shops in Lenasia. For years families have come to us for a Qur'an for a new hafiz, a first dua book for a child, a kurta for Eid, attar for Jumu'ah and dates for Ramadan. The shop is small and full: kitaabs in English, Urdu and Arabic, attars, Islamic clothing, dates and the everyday things a Muslim home needs. This website brings the same shelves to the rest of South Africa.
What you will find on the shelves
Kitaabs in English, Urdu and Arabic: the Qur'an with translation and tafseer, collections of hadith, seerah and the stories of the prophets, fiqh and salaah, dua books, books for women and the family, and a shelf of first books for children. We also stock books by South African Muslim authors.
Beside the books: oil attars and bakhoor, kurtas, thobes, topis, abayas and scarves, dates for Ramadan and every day, and the small things a Muslim home needs, from a tasbeeh and a musallah to a Qur'an stand and miswak.
